I hope everyone is having a great summer and doing lots of exciting things…either close to home or in exotic places.
We’ve been sticking close to home, except for an overnight trip to Pittsburgh.
I really haven’t put much thought towards school although I did attend my iPad training at the end of June. (I know that is not in the spirit of this blog, but I honestly just. need. a. break.)
The Little Garden That Could….it’s out of control!! I haven’t taken any pics in a while but I will post a full update on it soon!
On the 4th of July I started painting my kitchen from top to bottom which ended up being way more work than I anticipated.
Today I finally finished the whole project and the kitchen is fully functional again.
I have been spending a lot of time on Pinterest and this is a mash-up of some of my favorite ideas. It’s hanging in my newly painted kitchen now.
The kids have been getting along pretty well for the most part. They did have a little argument the other day. It had to do with the difference between something that is “not thawed” and something that is “frozen.” It was then that I realized we’ve been at home for six weeks!!

My summer is more than half over, but I guess I had a headstart–only five weeks left for me. It does go way too fast! Enjoy the rest of yours.
I need your school schedule. Our summer is six weeks total. I have about two weeks left… 😦 I know I’ll get back in the swing of things, it just flies. Looks like you guys have had a good time!
I would not be opposed to a schedule like you have. You have several breaks during the year right? We don’t have air conditioning and it’s way too hot in the summer for us to be I the building. Actually it’s too hot the whole first month of school!
Yikes, no AC is terrible, mine broke for my classroom for about a month and the kids were climbing up the walls after lunch, (we average 90 to 100+ degrees in the summer…). We do get a week off in October, but I think that may be the only difference. Our school year is longer than any of the regular schools around here, but, I can’t complain, six weeks was still wonderful. 🙂
Sounds like time well spent. I really like the look, the typeface. Kitchens are sort of the same way. It’s all about the details no one sweats but you. Starting a new gig in the AM. This was a good way to send myself off to sleep. Catch you on the flip side. Dan
