Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

I have really enjoyed participating in The Daily Post Weekly Photo Challenges.

Sometimes I know right away what photograph I will use. Other weeks, like this week, when the theme was “inside” I took the time to go back into some pretty old pics.

Looking back through old photos is bittersweet. The kids were so little, so innocent, and so silly. All those memories are forever inside my heart.

This memory still makes me laugh.

The girls were literally in the dog house. They did eventually make room for him, but this pic is by far the cutest of the shots.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Dreaming

So many interpretations of dreams and dreaming this week. My interpretation:

Sweet dreams, Ellie Cat.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Movement

Few things say “movement” more than my 9-year-old Tweedle Ian. I had oodles of photos to depict his constant movement from basketball to baseball to playing in the yard. This boy never stops.

However, I love the irony of this photo taken in Corolla, NC two summers ago. He is still and the water is moving all around him. He reminds me of a sorcerer commanding the movement of the ocean.

Every time I look at it, I want to say, “That’s right buddy. The whole world can be yours.”

Weekly Photo Challenge: Fleeting Moment

This afternoon we looked through old scrapbooks from when the kids were babies. Their half brother was born on Monday and they are kind of obsessed with babies right now.

I was happy to look through the albums with them, but sad to see how much they have changed.

They are growing up too fast. Captured here, almost seven years ago, a fleeting moment.
